NEWEST PAINTING

Emma is tired of looking at the living room, so thought I would post a photo of my latest painting. Enjoyed using the oils, and discovering more about them. I can see that I will need to have a few paintings in the works, as one sets up, I can work on others.

I feel that creative energy beginning to surge again, and I'm excited about a few ideas that I have whirling about in my head.

I enjoyed art day yesterday more than I have in recent weeks. Everyone was pretty laid back, art was the subject and object of the afternoon, and I thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent together.

Looking forward to returning on Sunday evening. I feel so uninvolved in my job (my art is my work now) with all the political hooooha, trite and less than meaningful changes that affect no one really but the ANARCHY that call themselves ADMINISTRATION, who I suppose must validate their positions of POWER.

So, off I go to the job to support what I love, and with that in mind I will do my job with a joyful heart knowing my time there is realitively short, and eventually I will not have to leave my real work or my real life here.

NEW CURTAINS, AND A DOWNEAST SUNSET

Completed another goal. The living room curtains are stitched and up, and I just love them. The lady at Jo Ann Fabrics was right. She said I should buy the material or I would regret it. Kudos to her!!!!!!!!!!!! The fabric is an open weave with interesting designs that have been machine "embroidered onto the fabric. Let's in lots and lots of light and doesn't interfere with "the view".

So my days here this winter have been constructive, a lovely new bathroom that is nearly completed, but is functional, just needs the bead-board put up, which Tim will do when he gets back from Fla. The old carpet in the loving room is removed along with the padding, and the staircase is painted.

After coming back from a walk this past week, I took this photo of a downeast sunset. This is truly God's country.

HOPEFULLY ANOTHER HOUSESCAPE

HOUSESCAPES

I think I have all the photos blogged for the time being. I probably should send photos on a regular basis so I don't forget how. I just figured out how to blog them from Picasa today, and there went three hours of time. HOLY MOLEY

HOME PROJECTS

I just love the beautiful creamy white walls in the living room. These photos were taken before all the carpet was up and the brackets and urns were up. I am so pleased with the results. I think the floor is oak, but will find out for sure in a few days when Tim comes down to do the bathroom. Will take photos of the completed room and post them on the blog in a few minutes.

Sierra and Pals

So nice to have a buddy to cuddle up to. I had altered these photos, but have had a heck of a time getting them uploaded and didn't want to mess them up. I have already lost one photo that is somewhere in cyberspace. More photos coming
